Our Story
Full Sail Pizza was founded by Chef Mark, who spent the last seven years perfecting both the art of Neapolitan-style pizza and what it truly means to be a caterer.
Specializing in wood-fired ovens mounted on trucks and trailers, Chef Mark has catered hundreds of events — from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations — always with one goal in mind: to bring people together through the power of great pizza.
Over time, he noticed a recurring pattern. Wherever he cooked, the energy of the party would naturally drift toward the oven, typically parked in the driveway. Or worse, pizzas had to be rushed across yards and venues, losing the spectacle — the sights, smells, and rhythm — that made the experience so magical in the first place. The performance of hand-tossed dough, the crackle of the fire, the aroma of bubbling cheese... too often, that was lost in transit.
After years in the industry, Chef Mark was ready for something more — something of his own. He wanted to create a business where pizza and catering could be done his way: all in, no compromises.
Then came the spark. A close friend invited him to a holiday party on the docks at a marina and asked him to make pizzas for the guests. It was the perfect test. If he could make pizza there, he could make it anywhere. That night, Full Sail Pizza was born — and something else clicked into place, too.
Chef Mark decided that from that moment on, he would go full sail — in business and in life.
Not long after, he bought his first sailboat. These days, when he's not firing up pies at events, you’ll find him on the water, sailing the bay and making pizzas aboard his boat. His ultimate dream? To sail around the world — in pursuit of the perfect pizza.
Full Sail Pizza is more than just a catering company. It’s a journey — one fueled by passion, purpose, and pizza.
